If you haven’t met me before, hi I’m Shantal!

I am the sole creator behind Slippery Moon Mecates. From designing, braiding, marketing & shipping I wear a few hats!

My business was born in 2019 a few short years after I originally learned to braid. My braiding journey begin in college when I was required to have a mecate rein for a colt starting class I was enrolled in. Teach a girl a foot of braiding & she builds a business!

I’ve been blessed to be involved with horses since I was a child & I still take any chance I get to spend time horseback. My time in the saddle has been spent many different disciplines, arenas, and wide open places!
